Ingredients
1 bunch broccoli rabe – rinsed and stems cut
1 clove of garlic, sliced
2 tbsp of olive oil
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of pepper
pinch of crushed hot pepper flakes

Directions:
In a deep sautéed pan, heat olive oil and place sliced garlic in the hot oil – be careful not to burn the garlic as it will become bitter.  Once the garlic is soft and translucent place broccoli rabe in pan and reduce flame to low medium heat.  Add 1/3 cup of water to the pan so the broccoli rabe does not burn or stick to the pan. Cover and reduce heat to low and periodically turn the broccoli rabe. Add salt, pepper and crushed hot pepper flakes to the broccoli rabe.  Broccoli rabe is done when soft and lighter green in color.
